Center for Micro-Economic Policy Research (CMEPR)

WALES

The Center for Micro-Economic Policy Research (CMEPR) is organizing the Washington Area Labor Economics Symposium (WALES) in 2025! WALES is a one-day labor economics conference that brings together researchers from many DC institutions. This

The goals are to provide a forum for sharing new research and to build a DC-area community of researchers working on labor economics issues. The 7th annual WALES will be organized by CMEPR, with support from the Dean of the Schar School of Policy and Government.

This year’s WALES will include not only regular sessions of presentations but also a special “Desserts with Posters” session. Students with accepted papers will present posters, and some faculty and researchers will also be randomly allocated between regular sessions and posters.
